Since founding Specialized Staffing over 20 years ago, our mission has been to “empower individuals through meaningful work that leads to fuller lives, stronger organizations and richer communities.” As we consider the legacy we are building for future generations, this mission will continue to be the driving force that defines our company and guides our path forward.

Through the implementation of key technological upgrades, ride share programs, and ease of public transportation, we’ve been able to reduce both staff and associate travel to and between locations and worksites
By embracing a digital application and onboarding process, we’ve seen a significant reduction in paper consumption at each location
Through our efforts to reduce waste, we’ve eliminated all single-use plastic bottles and cups, ensured recycling for 100% of all consumed paper, and established a repair/reuse/recycle approach for all technology and equipment
Our Goals
The next step of our path is to reduce our overall carbon consumption by 10% year-over-year as we worked towards true neutrality.

Through key partnerships and internal experts, our career development initiatives are designed to provide employees with various opportunities to expand their skills, knowledge, and expertise
Our main priority has always been the well-being and success of our employees. To that end, we’ve implemented range of benefits and programs that cater to the diverse needs of all staff
We believe everyone is entitled to a safe workplace, free from discrimination and harassment. We strive daily to provide just that for all employees through regular review, refining, and updating of polices centered around safety and human rights
Our Goals
Increase audits of policies related to training/career development, human rights, personal time, family support, and benefits to bi-annually
Implement supplier code of conduct to amplify the reach and efficacy of our sustainability efforts through external relationships and partnerships

Recognizing the need to further contribute to our communities, we’ve implemented an internal Acts of Service program with annual volunteer activity goals per employee
None of us are as strong as all of us – to that end, we organize company-wide days of service in partnership with our clients for greater impact
As we strive to build the community we envision for all, we’ve established a presence on boards & committees with local 501(c)(3) organization in all major markets
Our Goals
While we are proud of the progress we have made serving our communities, our focus going forward will be achieving 100% staff participation & increasing client presence at service days
As we grow and expand into new markets, our goal is to achieve board/committee presence in 100% of our markets to further encourage community development
